Who
PikiChick is a game by Angry Pebble. For any question or request about your data: runtimeworldgeneration@gmail.com.
What stays on your device
Your chick, your coop, your records, your save and your settings stay on your device; we never receive them. When you first open the game, you give your chick a name; that name is your name in the game and is saved on our server (below; the first launch needs an internet connection for this). After that, playing alone needs no internet connection. Ads come from Google AdMob, which receives some data straight from your device (below).
What we keep for your name and friends
The name you give your chick when you first open the game is your name in the game: your friends find you by it, and adding friends, playing co-op games and visiting coops all happen with it. Co-op games and visits travel between the two phones through our server. The server keeps:
- Your name (your chick's name): each name belongs to one player only. Your friends find you by it; anyone who knows it can add you as a friend, and once added, you both appear in each other's lists. You can change your name in Settings.
- A hash (SHA-256) of a secret key made on your device. The key itself stays on your device.
- Your friends: the players you added and those who added you. Your friends see your name, whether you are online and whether you are in a co-op game.
- Your chick's look (girl or boy, hair, what it wears) and your coop's look (your chick's name, the levels of your buildings, the breed and name of your hens, decorations). Your friends see your chick like this in co-op games and your coop when they visit, even while you are offline.
- Your visitor book: the last 20 visits to your coop (the visiting friend's name, when they came, how many times you played together).
- When you were last connected.
Everything sent between the two phones in co-op games and visits (where the chicks are and how they move, game events), invitations and rooms live only in the server's memory while they last; none of it is written to disk.
The server does not record your IP address: it uses it only for the connection and counts it in memory (for at most an hour) for limits against abuse. The web server keeps no access log and removes IP addresses from the log it keeps to find faults; that log is kept for at most 30 days. The game server's own log never contains players' names.
Ads
PikiChick shows ads from Google AdMob: a banner at the bottom of the main screen, a full-screen ad now and then when a mini-game ends, and a rewarded ad you can choose to watch to double the coop points you earned. To choose and measure ads, AdMob uses your device's advertising ID, your IP address and device information; these go from your device straight to Google, not to us. In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland it asks for your consent before personalised ads; you can change your choice under "Ads · Privacy options" in Settings. Ad content is limited to "PG" (parental guidance) at most. This is also covered by Google's own policy: policies.google.com/technologies/ads. There are no purchases in the game.
What the game does not do
The game does not use the location permission (GPS), contacts, microphone or camera. AdMob infers your approximate location (your country) from your connection.
What for
Data about your name and account only so that you can play with your friends: to find your friends, show who is online, and carry co-op games and visits between the two phones. Ad data only to show and measure ads (Google AdMob).
Who it is shared with
Your data is not sold. Other players see only what is described above. For ads, the data described above goes from your device straight to Google AdMob. Our server is in Hostinger's data centre in Frankfurt, Germany.
How long
- What is on your device: until you delete it or the game.
- Your name, key hash, friends, your chick's and your coop's look, your visitor book: until you delete them or ask us to (below).
- Co-op games, invitations, rooms and visits: while they last, in memory only.
Deleting your data
What is on your device: uninstall the game, or clear its data in your device's settings.
Your account: delete it right away inside the game: "Delete my account" in the Account section of Settings, then "Yes, delete" (steps: Deleting your account). Your name, key hash, friendships, your chick's and your coop's look, your visitor book and your visits in other players' visitor books are deleted; you also disappear from your friends' lists. If you can't open the game, write to runtimeworldgeneration@gmail.com with your name; we delete your account within 30 days.
Children
PikiChick is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has an account in the game, write to runtimeworldgeneration@gmail.com and we will delete it.
Your rights
Under the GDPR (and Turkey's KVKK) you may learn, correct and have deleted what we keep about you: runtimeworldgeneration@gmail.com.
